In September 2026, Rocío Zúñiga, leader of the sustainable restaurant Nuna Raymi, represented Peru at the prestigious international gathering Terra Madre Salone del Gusto, held in the city of Turin, Italy.
Organized by the Slow Food movement, the event brings together delegates from around the world, including farmers, Indigenous communities, scientists, educators and cooks, united by a shared global commitment to promoting good, clean and fair food and to defending food biodiversity.
During her participation, the leader of this Cusco brand, which champions sustainable, origin-driven cuisine, shared her enthusiasm for being part of this global network:
“Thank you so much for sharing the excitement of this great Slow Food event in Italy, with delegates from all over the world united for good, clean and fair food. It is always an honor to be part of this guardianship of seeds alongside Indigenous communities, entrepreneurs, educators, scientists, biologists and many others in protecting biodiversity, and to keep raising our voices for solidarity and unity.”

This major international forum also brought visibility to the work of Nuna Raymi which, with 19 years of history in the heart of Cusco, continues to revalue native ingredients and to establish Peru as an international benchmark for food.
