Ventanillas de Otuzco: One form to bury whose corpses in Cajamarca was one who accommodates the corpses in excavated graves in the walls of the Vulcan hill. These graves are generally called “Ventanillas” because it’s have a towsend graves whose holes opened over the rocks. There are graves of 8 to 10 m. of deeply and have entrances the rectangular shapes of 50 to 60 m. of height, which originally must be have some fragments of handicrafts. Las Ventanillas de Otuzco is one of the best values archeological sites that cover the Cajamarca fields whose graves were worked in Traquita (stone quarry) to superpose upon each other and protected by gutters running water in the rainy season and thus prevent leaks waters.

El Canal de Cumbemayo: It is a hydraulic transmission and pipeline gas, implemented in volcanic rock and whose function was irrigate crops of Cajamarca. Located at 3600 msnm, on the eastern slopes of the hills of Cumbe and 7,5 km. from the city of Cajamarca, in a straight line. These consist of three monumental groups: an aqueduct, a temple and several shelters and caves with engravings that are pretoglyphs of the Chavin culture. The whole complex occupies an area of 25,0 thousand km2.
The aqueduct is an open channel trachyte rock, with original outline form angles frets and probably with the aim of reducing the speed of the water, not allowing them to return to its original state. The shrine is carved in granite cliff about 20 m. Tall and resembles a human face in the mouth is the sacred chamber, to which comes through rustic steps carved into the rock. The caves and shelters are the last group of this megalithic whose walls are taxed Chavin style. 


Rescue room: Also called Inca Palace, located near the Main Square and is the only example of Inca architecture remaining in the Cajamarca city. Its walls are made of quarry stone blocks of 7m long by 6m wide and 3m tall, smooth surface, where the Inca Atahualpa offered to fill the enclosure once with gold and twice with silver in exchange for his life and freedom.
